EmbodimenT
“What is embodiment?” you may ask. To me, embodiment, in the most brief way means “getting out of your head and into your body”. It is a practice. It is learning to listen to your body, creating awareness, and because of that, giving yourself the option to choose. Choosing to go from feeling slow to more energized or from insecure to more confident. The options are endless. Embodiment is an incredibly powerful tool to healthier relationships and happier lives.
From experience, I know it can be extremely difficult to identify and express how you feel. Especially when you didn’t grow up learning how to do this (and let’s be honest, that’s most of us). As I learned, I noticed how much easier life becomes knowing how to navigate emotions. First my own, and then those of others. I wish for every single child in the world to feel happy and safe. Recognizing and knowing how to express their emotions in a helpful manner is a big part of this.

English as a second or additional language
Verbal expression and understanding can make a huge difference in making a child feel safe. Especially in settings such as international schools, where so many languages are spoken and the language of instruction generally is English. The resources on this website are created with ESL and EAL learners in mind. Compared to resources geared to natives, these will have more visuals, more accessible language and possibilities to make connections to their home language(s). This way, I am hoping to help children and their caregivers connect to their intuition, their inner-world and be able to share this with each other.
