This activity encourages students to communicate and learn interesting facts about their classmates, fostering a sense of community from the start. The images make it much easier to understand for our non-native speakers. And not to mention a lot more colorful and fun! Looking for ESL or EAL activities for kids? In this shop, you will find self-awareness PDF and ESL worksheets for kids that you can print and use at home or in the classroom. These activities include stress reduction techniques, body awareness activities, self-awareness games for students, and much more! Emotional regulation strategies are incredibly helpful tools to navigate life. For children and adults.

These worksheets and printables are created with EAL and ESL learners in mind. Multilingual learners have different needs, and my goal is to create resources that are more accessible for them. I do this by making it visual and by using easier language compared to resources geared to natives. Many of these will have options or suggestions for using home languages to aid learning. In addition, the yellow text background and the interline between sentences being 2, helps children with dyslexia.

First, I suggest doing these exercises with the child(ren) in English and their home language(s). Mirror what to do. Then, when they want to do it autonomously, the visuals will make it much easier to recognize the activity and know what to do.
