Description

Energizer for kids printable

I created this Energizer for Kids printable to help children reconnect with their bodies and feel more alert through quick, playful movement. With three simple exercises (shake, stretch, and tap) kids literally “wake up” their bodies, boost energy, and refocus for learning or play.

Each activity takes less than two minutes and needs no materials, making it ideal for classrooms, therapy sessions, or home routines. These movements aren’t random; they’re grounded in embodiment and self-regulation practices that help children sense what’s happening inside, release tension, and shift from tired or distracted to ready and engaged.

Use this printable as a morning warm-up, a transition tool between lessons, or whenever energy is down. Once you’ve modeled the actions a few times, children quickly recognize the sequence and can follow along independently. The bright visuals keep it fun and accessible, while the short prompts make it easy to weave into daily routines.

Try this:
Invite kids to notice the words shake, stretch, and tap. What do they look like? Can they say them in their home language(s)? Joining in yourself makes it even more engaging: kids love when adults move with them!

You can also pair this printable with my Body Awareness Exercise or 5 Senses Grounding Worksheet to create a balanced set of embodiment tools for both energy and calm.

Disclaimer: Colors might vary slightly based on the computer and printer you print from.

Supporting Multilingual & ESL Learners

Looking for self-awareness activities for kids that build emotional intelligence, body awareness and language confidence? These printable ESL-friendly worksheets are designed with multilingual learners in mind: visual, accessible, and grounded in embodiment and emotional regulation.

As an embodiment coach and former international educator, I create resources that help children connect language, emotion, and body awareness in practical and inclusive ways. The visual design supports ESL and multilingual learners by showing each movement or reflection step clearly. Once modeled a few times, the illustrations act as memory cues so students can easily follow along independently.

Where possible, I also integrate features that support focus and readability, such as soft yellow backgrounds or 2.0 line spacing. These design choices are inspired by research on dyslexia and sensory-friendly learning, making the printables both engaging and inclusive.

You can model the activity together in English and their home language, then let kids explore independently once they recognize the flow, because real learning happens when children feel seen and understood.
